The Lebanese Hezbollah said its forces suffered 5 casualties around the city of Zabadani, Orient TV reported on Monday, August 24th. Another Hezbollah group dubbed the Persian Gulf Battalion confirmed three other members of this group were killed recently, including Hossein Mohamed Hossein, Ali Beizun, Ray Hassan, Abbas Saghir and a few other individuals.
Hezbollah militants also confirmed the death of six other members in the city of Zabadani, including a reporter by the name of Akli Jawad working for Hezbollah-associated al-Manar TV. He was also killed in Zabadani.
On the other hand activists around Damascus said battles between Syrian opposition fighters and Hezbollah militants on Damascus international highway continue near the city of Basatin and Beit Sahem.
It is worth noting that Bashar Assad’s regime has attempted many times to take control over the Jobar district. Each time its troops suffer immense casualties and are forced to retreat. The Jobar neighborhood is located east of the Syrian capital.
