Omar Hayjal, one of the leaders of the Iraqi Accord Front warned about the Iranian regimes meddling in Iraq’s government formation.
In an interview with the NENA national news agency, he said:’While negotiations and talks between different political factions, in trying to settle differences and speed up the inclusive government forming process, is moving forward positively, the interference of neighboring countries especially the Iranian regime can delay government formation.’
He said:’The political arena is witness to a tough battle between two different political currents. The first, representing the national project, wants change in the deplorable situation of Iraq. The second is followed by the Iranian regime wanting to continue the ongoing commotion and failure in the country and impose foreign control over the will of the Iraqis.
