In its editorial, the French daily Le Monde, referring to the President Bush’s remarks in his trip to the Middle East and calling Iran a threat to the world peace, wrote: The US President’s remarks should be considered a warning to the Iranian regime, because his responsibility regarding US foreign policy has not reduced whatsoever even in his last year of presidency, and the possibility of confrontation is still exists.”
Pointing out the provocative actions of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) boats against the US warships, Le Monde wrote: Recent several incidents confirm the Iranian regime’s confrontation against the US and Iran’s neighboring countries. Danger of a military conflict which inflames gunpowder arsenal is a reality in this confrontation.
Le Monde added: Restarting the propaganda campaign between the Iranian regime and the US indicates that diplomacy has failed to solve the Iranian regime’s nuclear problem. With his sharp language against the Iranian regime, Bush undoubtedly wanted to give confidence to the Gulf Arab countries that are afraid of having a general confrontation with the Iranian regime.
