Kurdish Change opposition movement calls for no-confidence vote against Maliki

The Kurdish Change opposition movement led by Nushirwan Mostafa called for a no-confidence vote against Iraqi premier Nouri Maliki, the independent IPA news agency reported on Saturday.
Shuresh Haji, head of the Change faction in the Iraqi Parliament took part in a telephone interview with Ashraq Al-Awsat. In response to a question asking does the formation of the Dijla Operations Command (DOC) require such serious measures against Maliki’s government, Haji said the formation of the DOC is not only a problem between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad. This is not the first example of constitutional violations by Nouri Maliki, he added.
The DOC formation is part of a series of constitutional breaches by the government under Maliki, with the most important issue being the violation of Article 140 of the Constitution, Haji continued.
This plan remains on paper and there has been no assuring measure taking place in this regard, he said.
