John Kerry: $47 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza

US Secretary of State John Kerry said the United States has extended $47 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza. A US State Department statement announced $15 million is for the United Nations displaced Palestinians office and the remaining money will be spent on first aid support including purchasing shelters-tents, medical equipment and food for those suffering damages in Gaza.
John Kerry is in Cairo meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in order to focus efforts for a ceasefire.
