Iraqi News Agency reported on Oct. 12, that the Secretary General of Association of Republic of Iraq, Saad Assem Al-Jenabi said: Iranian regime is behind the attacks and making false accusations against former Iraqi premier Dr. Ayad Allawi. He asked the United Nations and the Arab League to confront Iranian regime’s interventions.

Saad Assem Al-Jenabi called the allegations made by Iraqi Interior Ministry against Allawi, accusing him of being involved in Zarga (near Karbala) clashes, an attempt by the Iraqi government to eliminate its opponents by all means which is carried out by Iran’s Intelligence Ministry.

He said Ayad Allawi is a well known Iraqi nationalist personality and an active and studious element for bringing stability and integrity to Iraq who is clean of such allegations.
