In a special interview with VOA TV, James Jeffrey, US President’s advisor asserted the Iranian regime has been a threat and will be so.
He said: Not only us, but all countries in the region and all members of the Security Council are concerned about that regime’s threat and that is why two resolutions have been adopted by the UN Security Council against that regime within the last two years.
He added: The Iranian regime still supports terrorism and continues Uranium enrichment.
James Jeffrey emphasized that publication of the US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) would have no change in US policy toward Iran. He said: As George Bush has said the present Iranian regime has been dangerous, is dangerous and will be dangerous.
He added: NIE indicated that our view was correct and the Iranian regime has had nuclear weapon production program.
Addressing the mullahs’ regime’s leaders, Jeffrey said: You can claim that the nuclear program is for non-military purposes, you can claim that the missiles you make aren’t for carrying nuclear warhead, but you can’t say that you convert Uranium metallic hemisphere to nuclear warhead and this is not for military purpose. This is what has concerned us for a long time. The question is why this program has been hidden not only from our eyes and IAEA, but also from the Iranian people’s eyes. The Iranian people have the right to know what their rulers do and what programs they have ahead.
