ISIS claims to have killed Croatian hostage: reports

Reports say a photo has surfaced online claiming to show a hostage from Croatia beheaded by ISIS in Egypt. The Egyptian Interior Ministry says it is working to confirm that. Last week a video release on social media showed ISIS members threatening to kill a Croatian hostage who identifies himself as Tomaslov Salapac, a contractor for a French geo-science firm who was kidnapped in Egypt in late July.
He was topographer for a petroleum company working in Egypt. He was 30 years old and father of two. His wife is in Cairo with Croatian officials. The government of both Egypt and Croatia had said they will go the limits to release him.
He had nothing to do with the political issues inside Egypt. ISIS had claimed of killing an American last year this month. This is a new escalation in ISIS brutality and this has made Egyptian officials very concerned as this atrocity was carried out in western Egypt, not in the restive Sinai Peninsula to the east.
