Iraq’s Grand Mufti Abdolmalak al-Sa’di issued a letter to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon calling for the world body’s intervention to stop Maliki’s aggression against prisoners, Baghdadiya TV reported.
In the sixth consecutive week of protests in al-Anbar and Salahaddin provinces despite intense security measures, Sheikh Abdolmalak al-Sa’di issued a letter to the UN chief emphasizing on the importance of the international community’s intervention to stop aggressions by the Iraqi government against prisoners’ rights.
