The Iraqiya Coalition led by former premier Ayad Allawi declared its ministers will be boycotting Council of Ministers sessions, threatening to depart from the government and Parliament altogether.
“The Iraqiya Coalition also demanded early elections if the initiative presented by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Saleh Mutlak regarding the arrests of members of Finance Minister Rafe al-Issawi’s security team is not accepted,” al-Tagheer TV reported.
Iraqi MP Ra’d al-Dehlaki from the Iraqiya Coalition said this alliance has held urgent meetings to make the necessary decisions on the problems resulting from the recent apprehensions.
