According to reports aired by al-Rafidein TV, the city of Ramadi(western Iraq) was the scene of demonstrations condemning the Iranian regime’s influence inside Iraq’s military forces and the repressive measures of the al-Anbar Province Operations Command chief. The protesters also called for the expulsion of this military officer.
The people of Ramadi called for the expulsion of al-Anbar Province Operations commander, considering him a murderer hired by outside forces. In a burial ceremony, demonstrators carried the corpse of Brigadier General Hamid Shahab al-Fahdawi who was recently betrayed by an informer and then murdered.
“They have targeted noble figures in al-Anbar,” one demonstrator said. “Therefore, the people and the police must rise against those forces coming from Baghdad who are affiliated to the BadrCorps and Quds Force. I swear to God half of the Army forces in al-Anbar are associated to the Iranian regime…”
“This army is of no importance for us because they are Iranian and murderers acting against innocent people,” one police officer said. “I am a police officer, and from now on I am quitting because I do not want to work in this government that is actually Iranian.”
