Iraqis rally on Friday “Baghdad Be Patient”, demanding Maliki’s overthrow and Iran expelled from Iraq

Iraqi demonstrators on Friday “Baghdad Be Patient” rallied in various cities across the country, Al Jazeera TV reported. The provinces of al-Anbar, Salahaddin, Neinawa, Kirkuk and Diyala were the scenes of this massive uprising. Iraqi demonstrators chanted:
People demand regime overthrow
Iran, out, out
Oh Baghdad, don’t worry, we will come to you
Freedom lovers, Ahmadinejad was beaten with shoes a few days ago
Oh Baghdad, we will come

In Fallujah, demonstrators held a poster reading, “Oh Baghdad, we will come”

The Friday prayer leader in Fallujah told the demonstrators: “You will be victorious, until you do not back down from your demands. I tell you to have patience because God says you will be victorious. To the government in Baghdad, treat the people with justice before they overthrow your government.”

A massive demonstration was also staged in Ramadi in al-Anbar Province. People from all cities and regions of the province took part in the demonstrations.

A huge crowd from Mosul also demonstrated against Maliki’s government, gathering in the city’s Ahrar Square.

The people of Kirkuk also staged a widespread demonstration, and many other cities in Iraq were also scenes of rallies and popular uprisings.
