Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi called on all Iraqis to rise in civil disobedience in all provinces across the country against Maliki’s repressive measures.
“The conditions in Iraq are truly concerning, reaching a point where matters must be finalized once and for all,” he said.
“All provinces must immediately rise in civil disobedience, coordinating with their officials and representatives in the Parliament. This is a chance that we must not lose and everyone must participate to assume their historic role in these harsh conditions,” al-Hashemi added.
