In an interview with Baghdad TV, Tariq al-Hashemi, the Iraqi vice president, warned: “The Iranian regime is pressuring some Iraqi leaders not to agree to sign the security pact with the United States.”

He said that General Odierno, MNF-I Commander, has given him a list of tens of subjects including training of Iraqi Forces and issues regarding Iraq’s economy that if the agreement is not signed, the US will inevitably cut its aids in these grounds.
