The Iraqi Tribes Military Council condemned the UN Security Council statement on the events in al-Anbar and announced, “The Security Council has neglected the beginning of these events that resulted from attacks and aggressions launched by military forces against citizens protesting for a year. People of uprising provinces have been forced to take up arms to defend themselves, not for hatred or turmoil. The UN Security Council statement lacks the truth about Iraq’s uprising provinces and overlooked the flagrant cruelty and aggression against protesters.”
