The Al-Raffidin T.V. on Dec. 23, reported that the western and northern Iraqi tribes condemned Iranian regime’s intervention in a statement and announced their opposition to plans for dividing Iraq into separate parts by Iranian regime and its agents.
The central council of Arab-Iraqi tribal Sheikhs in its statement said: “the southern Iraqi tribes’ statement which rejected Iranian regime’s unleashed intervention in south of Iraq, shows clearly the strong patriotic identity of southern Iraqi tribes and it annuls all the fabrications and lies intended to push aside the southern Iraq’s tribes.
Sheikh Aziz Nezhan, the leader of al-Shamar tribe, told London Arab language daily al-Hayat that general tribal sheikhs from west and north of Iraq have the same views and all reject division of Iraq and resist against Iranian regime’s intervention in Iraq. He added the Iraqi tribes from north to south demand protection of Iraq’s unity and independence.
