A member of Al-Sadr faction in Iraqi parliament Fattah al-Sheikh warned over occupation of Iraq by the Iranian regime and said: “it is our duty as children of Iraqi nation to stop Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq,” Salahaddin Iraqi T.V. reported.

He added, “we see Iraq is under two occupations; by the US and by the Iranian regime. We were unwary of the second one. If the people are not going to return to their genuine nationality and identity, we shall face a political disaster and Iraq will be torn apart that each side will be taking part of it.”

In reply to a question about US commanders’ comments that Iranian regime is involved in security situation of Iraq, he said: “Yes. The reason is the Iranian regime’s plans are fulfilled by parties and Iraqi government. The occupation has been prolonged because of Iranian regime’s interferences in Iraq’s internal affairs; the occupation period will be shortened when the Iranian interventions are reduced. Therefore it is our duty as children of Iraqi nation to stop Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq.”
