The Iraqi tribal national council and the Tribal Sheikhs Council in Falouja in a join statement welcomed the terrorist designation of the IRGC and the Qods force and asked for expulsion of IRGC- affiliated elements from Iraqi vital organizations.

The statement partly reads: “After the designation of the IRGC and the Qods force, we ask the U.S. government to take up its responsibilities in Iraq and by supporting the formation of a National Salvation Government pave the way to build a democratic environment for free elections. We ask all Iraqi nationalist political movements to support the call for new election and to support Dr. Ayad Allawi in forming National Salvation Government. We ask the United Nations Secretary General for immediate intervention and to take responsibility of supervising the new Iraqi parliamentary elections to avoid Iranian regime’s agents and elements’ intervention and fraud in elections. We hope this is the way Iraqi people would feel the freedom of democratic elections.
