The Iraqi Recovering Committee which is a governmental institution has accused Iran of taking 15 oil wells in southern Iraq under its control.
In an interview with Al-Hayat daily, published in London, Mousa Faraj, deputy director of this committee emphasized that this trespass has taken place in the border region of Tib. He said: This committee has documented Iran’s trespassing through reports which indicate that Iran has started excavating moving toward Iraqi soil to pull its oil and smuggle it.
Another method for smuggling Iraq’s oil by the Iranian regime is perforating Basra-Abadan oil pipelines and sucking its oil .This report indicates that smuggling not only includes oil, rather it includes other oil products which are sent from Abadan oil refinery plant to Iraq.
On April 19, 2006, Mrs. Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, stressed that the mullahs ruling Iran have smuggled more than $20 bn. of southern Iraqi oil to Iran in the biggest contemporary plunder.
