Iraqi Parliament session postponed to Tuesday

Al Jazeera TV reported the Iraqi Parliament session closed on Sunday without any results and was postponed to Tuesday due to disputes over the heads of the three branches.
Al Hurra TV reported Iraqi MPs said the session is postponed to Tuesday. This meeting was specified to elect the president, prime minister and parliament speaker. Sunni factions had announced Salim al-Jabouri as their candidate for the speaker but the National Alliance faction was not able to specify its candidate for the prime ministry and Nouri Maliki, whose term has ended, is emphasizing on his right to form government.
Al Hurra TV added the Kurds had not specified their position on the presidency and the Majlis deputy speaker, while Shiite factions have not reached an agreement on the prime ministry and a deputy parliament speaker. It doesn’t appear they will reach an agreement on the prime ministry before Tuesday because there are deep rifts between these factions.
