The Coordination Committee of the Iraqi National Forces, in a statement, condemned the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq and its conspiracies against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI).
This statement which is published in different Iraqi media reads: All indications show that the Iraqi political crisis is at its climax. Most isolated than ever, this government tries to exploit the efforts by the nationalist forces and the honest Iraqi people to its favor under the pretext of “prosecution of terrorism” and “establishment of security.”
The statement added: According to American Forces, the extent of opposition of masses and the patriotic MPs against the Iranian meddling in Iraq has reached to such a level that it is not possible to stay silent any more. Particularly, the opposition of the southern Iraqi Shiites and the stance of more than 200 tribal Sheikhs asking for the closure of Iranian embassy in Baghdad and its consulates all over Iraq are the best reason to show the awareness of our nation vis-à-vis the hidden occupation of Iraq by the Iranian regime.
The Coordination Committee of the Iraqi National Forces added: We believe what the Iranian regime has asked for inserting the issue of the PMOI on the agenda of next round of negotiations is a flagrant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention on one side, and on the other side is misusing the aforementioned negotiations for advancement of the projects of that regime; especially when we know that the PMOI enjoys the extensive support of the Iraqis who reject the Iranian regime’s presence.
