Iraqi MPs blamed US of being late on assessing Iran’s meddling in Iraq

The Iraqi MPs asserted that General Petraeus, commander of the Multi National Forces in Iraq, had sorely delayed in assessing the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq.

Dr. Saleh Mutlaq, leader of the National Dialogue Front said that the meddling and presence of the Iranian regime in Iraq is deeper than US presence. He said “US has control on the streets, while the government and country’s administration is in hands of the Iranian regime.”

Ezzat Shabandar, from Iraqi National Faction said: Iraq has been occupied by Iran and US.

Dhafer al-Ani, from the Iraqi National Accord Front, said that he agreed with Shabandar, but the US acknowledgement to the Iranian regime’s meddling is four years late; he added that he thought that US was paying for its policies in Iraq.
