Iraqi MP Ahmed al-Masari, member of the Iraqi Forces Coalition, called on Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi for an investigation on Russian planes using Iraqi airspace to reach their destination in Syria, Al Arabiya TV reported on Monday.
He and his faction strongly condemned this measure by Russia and described it as a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty.
“Based on the constitution protecting the sovereignty of Iraq is a responsibility on the shoulders of government officials,” he said, condemning any infiltration from air, ground and sea through Iraq’s borders.
