Iraqi MP Ahmad al-Alwani, senior member of the Iraqiya Coalition and Chairman of the Parliament Economy Commission, held Maliki’s government and its security apparatus responsible for the missile attack against Camp Liberty that left 7 residents killed and over 100 wounded.
“Any kind of security breaches are without a doubt the result of complicity between security personnel and those who carried out this attack” he said in a statement.
“This hideous crime is the ‘final nail in the coffin’ to the claims of the Iraqi government and martin Kobler on guaranteeing protection for these refugees, and the only warranty on preventing a repeat of similar catastrophes in the future is their immediate return to Ashraf,” the Iraqi MP added.
