Adnan Dhiab Jabouri, Iraqi Member of Parliament, called the explosion of water pumping station which supplied water to Ashraf City and 20,000 Diyala inhabitants, a criminal act and asked for prosecution of its agents.

Dhiab Adnan al-Jabouri said: This is a criminal act which is in breach of humanitarian and moral values; this act is against the Iraqi people, Iraq and Islam. We ask the Iraqi government to repair the water pumps and installations so that the water pumping system returns to its normal function.

The Iraqi Member of Parliament stressed that they will form an investigative committee to prosecute those involved in this criminal measure.
