Iraqi jurist assassinated by Tehran’s Quds Force, Maryam Rajavi expresses condolences

Akram Al-Naqib, an Iraqi jurist and prominent patriot, was the target of a fatal terror attack Monday night outside his home in Baghdad. Al-Naqib was also a prominent supporter of Ashraf residents.
Akram Al-Naqib, who devoted his life to defending innocent and aggrieved people across Iraq, always stood against the aggressions of the clerical regime ruling Iran and its elements inside Iraq against the PMOI and bravely defended their rights.
He was known as a stiff opponent of the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq. Al-Naqib was always the target of the clerical regime’s utmost hatred due to his humanitarian and patriotic positions. It should be noted that on numerous occasions he was threatened to death by Tehran’s elements inside Iraq.
In defending the rights of Ashraf residents, Akram Al-Naqib never succumbed to the saber-rattling of Iraqi elements affiliated to Tehran’s mullahs.
A strong critic of the inaction of UN representative in Iraq in defending the rights of PMOI members, Akram Al-Naqib recently wrote a letter to Martin Kobler regarding the Iraqi government’s illegal claims aimed at robbing the PMOI’s property and power generators:
“We believe the government’s claim is a flagrant violation of the residents’ rights and demands a strong response from the UN. If such a response is not shown by your part like in the past, as it has been experienced before your inaction will pave the path for further violations.”
In a recent interview he also said, “No compromise is allowed on Ashraf residents’ rights and preventing the transfer of their necessary assets to Liberty, especially supplies needed for the ill, are a flagrant violation of international laws and the Geneva Conventions.”
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian Resistance President-elect issued a message expressing her condolences to the grieving wife and family members of this heroic Iraqi patriot, to the Iraqiya Coalition, his coworkers in the Iraqi lawyers and jurists society, and especially Ashraf and Liberty residents.
Mrs. Rajavi said, “This martyrdom, like the passing of many other freedom-loving Iraqis who sacrificed their lives in the struggle against the evil interferences of the mullahs’ regime, is part of the heavy price the Iraqi people are paying in the path to freedom, independence and saving their country from autarchy and sectarianism. Of course, these pure bloods will guarantee freedom and prosperity for our brothers and sisters in Iraq.”
