Anti-Maliki protests in the Iraqi city of Tikrit have entered their fourth consecutive week, with participants warning of Maliki government’s tactics in killing time and neglecting their demands, Baghdad TV reported on Wednesday.
“Today, the Iraqi government is not responding to the people’s demands. The people are calling for government overthrow. In the past we were not requesting for government overthrow, but today, this is what we are demanding,” one tribal sheikh said.
