In demonstrations in Mosul on Wednesday, Maliki’s security forces attempted to prevent the demonstrations from spreading by resorting to force. Al Jazeera TV reported protesters intended to rally from Mosul University to the protest center in the city’s Ahrar Square.
One demonstrator was killed as a result of the security forces’ attacks.
