In his remarks in the Iraqi Parliament on Wednesday, Saadi Barzanji, member of the Parliament, on behalf of the Kurdish coalition, condemned the brutal cannonade of Kurdish regions by the Iranian regime.

Saadi Barzanji said: This measure is an indication of breaching Iraq’s independence and inimical and unfriendly policies. That is why the Kurdish coalition in the Parliament asks for the following measures:
1 – The Parliament releases a statement condemning this cannonade and asks Iran to halt it immediately and compensates for the material and moral damages to the displaced people and asks the Iraqi government to adopt a harsher stance in this regard.

2 – We ask the Iraqi government to complain to the UN Security Council in order to adopt necessary measures to condemn and stop it because it is a violation of international law.

3 – We ask MNFI to consent to their responsibility in keeping security and peace in all Iraqi territory and to accomplish the measures necessary to stop this fusillade.
