Last week hundreds of US troops arrived at Fort Habbaniya located east of Rammadi in the restive Anbar Province, Al Jazeera TV reported on Saturday citing Iraqi security sources.
Coinciding with the arrival of these forces Shiite militias were ordered to withdraw from all their positions around the cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, these sources added.
