Al Jazeera TV reported on March 19th  armed tribes attacked four military bases affiliated to Maliki forces, including police stations, an academy where an Iraqi Army company was stationed and contained a large number of troops, and later led to a heavy gun battle. In these attacks around 50 of Maliki’s forces were killed and over 20 others injured.
