
According to footages aired by Al Jazeera Live TV at 7 pm on Sunday, August 9th Iraqi demonstrators in Baghdad rallied in support of orders issued by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi for reforms and the abolishment of vice presidents and deputy prime ministry posts.
This demonstration was held with slogans of “Yes to Change, Yes to Reforms”, and protesters demanded swift action against corruption and opening graft files on people’s assets.
Al Arabiya Al Hadath reported on Sunday Nouri Maliki is the first suspect in corruption case after literally destroying over $800 billion of the Iraqi people’s assets.
