A report aired by Iraq’s al-Rafedein TV stated masked men armed with automatic rifles and bombs attacked the home of senior Iraqi Mufti Sheikh Abdol Malak al-Sa’di, located in the Sada region in the northeastern are of the city of Ramadi.
Residents of this district responded to the attackers’ fire and forced them to disperse. This Sunni leader in an interview with Asharq al-Awsat daily had said, “Maliki’s government is acting based on orders issued by the Revolutionary Guards Quds Force and the Iranian regime’s ambassador in Baghdad.”
