Iraq: Anbar war enters 4th month – bridges bombed

Al Jazeera TV reported the Anbar war in Iraq has entered its fourth month. All types of weapons have been used in this war, including heavy artillery and military choppers, and on the sidelines of this war this province is heading towards another war with its climax being no less than its first war, and the goal of this new battle is to bomb bridges and isolate cities from each other.
During the past two days four bridges have been destroyed and such measures may have an important strategic goal for both sides of this war on blocking the transfer of forces and equipment to any of the two sides.
“The bombing of bridges cannot be carried out by the armed groups and they are most probably the actions of government forces… the government is in a major deadlock, and even those who make such decisions lack any professional understanding,” said Mahand al-Azzawi, director of the Saghar Strategic Research Center in Doha in an interview with Al Jazeera TV.
