
Eight political factions in Anbar Province announced their opposition to the results of Iraq’s recent elections, according to al-Baghdadiya TV.
8 factions in a press conference emphasized the elections in Anbar Province, considering the security situation in this province, was held despite lacking the necessary preparations. In addition to that in these elections there were many cases of fraud and planned measures in favor of a specific faction.
Political factions in Anbar called on the United Nations, Arab League and the Independent High Electoral Commission to implement justice and conduct a new count of the votes in this province, saying this vote count must take place without the presence of two IHEC members and UNHCR office director. They added the vote count must be carried out in Anbar Province.
