Iraq: 5 killed, 40 wounded as army opens fire on anti-Maliki protest

NCRI, 25 January 2013 – Five protesters were killed on Friday in anti-Maliki protest in central Iraq after Iraqi army opened fire, witnesses said.


Hundreds of thousands of protesters in across Iraq are demanding the resignation of the country’s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, media reports said on Thursday.


Earlier today, a major protest rally was held in the city of Ramadi in western Iraq, where demonstrators chanted anti-Mailki slogans.
