Iraq: 485 Fallujah residents killed, injured due to Maliki forces’ shelling

As a result of shelling and barrage of bullets fired by Maliki’s forces, from the beginning of military operations in Anbar Province to this day at least 85 people have been killed and over 400 others injured, most of whom being women and children, a hospital source reporting from the Fallujah Central Hospital said to Al Jazeera TV.
On the other hand, hospital sources in Fallujah said government forces are continuing their shelling and mortar barrages on residential areas in north, east and south of Fallujah. These sources said the forces stationed south and southeast of Fallujah near the international highway were forced to retreat to close army bases after armed tribes attacked them with missiles and mortar rounds.
