Al-Sharqiya TV, quoting reliable sources in Ammar Hakim’s alliance, reported: the Iranian regime used harsh rhetoric in a message to to the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) and the Sadrists by saying there is no other choice facing them other than the re-election of Nouri Maliki.
Al-Sharqia added: Reliable sources in Baghdad described this intelligence leak as a sign of their opposition or suspicions in kneeling to these pressures. These sources said if Ammar Hakim’s alliance wanted to deliver a positive response to this message from the Iranian regime, they wouldn’t have leaked such information to the press and this is while the Sadrists have expressed their clear opposition to the re-election of Nouri Maliki as Prime Minister, emphasizing they will not back down from their stance.
