On Dec. 31, the Washington Times reported that the terrorists which blew up a bomb in Beiji north of Baghdad on Christmas day killing and wounding more than 100 people were Iranian agents.
Police reportedly killed a group of four men just outside the city of Beiji, about 155 miles north of Baghdad. The men were thought to be connected to a Christmas Day bombing in Beiji that killed 25 persons and wounded 80. The four men were thought to be Iranian, said a police spokesman, who asked not to be named.
