Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party Leader Walid Jumblatt in an interview with CNN, warned of indirect occupation of Lebanon by the Iranian and Syrian regimes and said: these regimes are behind the assassinations in Lebanon.

He added, “They have their unofficial brigades and divisions in Lebanon which is the Hezbollah. Hezbollah is part of the Iranian regime’s Guards Corps (IRGC). Therefore the coalition consisting of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah have in fact occupied Lebanon.”

“Hezbollah is armed by the Iranian and Syrian regimes. We are not asking for military aid or bases. Nevertheless, our rivals are both receiving military aid and have bases in Lebanon, the Iranian-Syrian bases that are behind the assassinations, “said Jumblatt.
