Iran, second in performing executions: Amnesty International

In a statement titled as “ time to move toward annulling death sentence”, Amnesty International announced a statistics about the executions carried out in different countries and regarded Iran, with 317 registered execution in 2007 as the second country after China for having the highest rate of executions.
It is worth noting that although China has performed 470 executions in 2007, nevertheless, the ratio of executions to its population in 13 times bigger than that of China.
