The Iraqiya slate led by former premier Ayad Allawi criticized the planned presence of Iran’s president in the fight against terror conference early next month in Baghdad, al-Sumariya News reported. Iraqiya considered this a “ridiculous” measure and in the mean time accused Tehran of “exporting death” to Iraq.
Iraqi MP Ahmad al-Alawani called for “a conference in the future to fight against terrorism in Iran instead of holding a conference in which the Iranian regime – itself accused of terrorism – taking part in it.”
This Iraqi MP asked, “Is it logical for Iran to take part in this anti-terrorism conference while it is exporting death, silencer-equipped weapons, IEDs and narcotics to Iraq?”
