General David Petraeus, Commander of the US Central Forces, said: The Iranian regime continues to support militias for attacking Iraqi and American forces, Asharqiya TV reported on June 1, 2009.

General Petraeus added that arming and training Special Forces and militias in Iraq not only concerns the US government but concerns the Iraqi government too.

He emphasized that Iran made powerful armor piercing missiles are brought to Iraq from Iran.
