Iran: former Guards chief warns of critical status for mullahs’ regime

Former Revolutionary Guards chief Mohsen Rezaii, currently the Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, for the second time in the past two days warned of critical conditions for the mullahs’ regime.
“Iran’s oil market is under pressure,” he said at a speech in the northwestern city of Ghazvin. “This includes Western countries pressuring Iran’s 70 year long customers such as Japan and South Korea. The enemy’s goal is to empty the government’s treasury, create difficulties for workers’ paychecks to be paid on time, increase inflation and unemployment, and attack the entire Islamic republic system,” he added.
“In such conditions that the enemy is attacking us from all angles, weakening the Majlis (parliament), the judiciary and the executive branch, and other pillars of the system is not in our interest and are actually considered suicidal measures, and this is exactly what the enemy is looking for,” the former IRGC chief continued.
