Iran Continues Its Nuclear Weapon Program, US National Intelligence Director

Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell and General Michel Mickels head of the US Defense Intelligence service told a hearing of the Armed Services Committee of US Senate that the Iranian regime still continues its nuclear weapon program, and hence it is a threat for the whole region, news agencies reported on Feb. 27.

The Fox News in a report from the hearing at the Senate Armed Services Committee about the threats facing the United States said that when it came to Iran Mike McConnell made it clear that the Iranian regime is a matter of concern.

He said that the earliest time Iranian regime could produce enough dangerous material for producing nuclear bomb will be in late 2009… although the estimate (NIE) indicates the regime stopped nuclear weapon program in 2003 due to international pressure, but the regime clearly left the option of producing nuke open.
He also warned that Iranian regime continues its missile improvement to bring North Africa and Europe to the range of its ballistic missiles.
