Iran-Backed Militias were in charge of Market Bombing, pinning the blame on al-Qaeda

US Army spokesman in Iraq announced that bombing in a crowded Baghdad market was carried out by the Iranian regime’s agents. This explosion which took place on Friday left 13 people killed and dozens more wounded.

BBC World Network reported: It was previously believed this bombing had been done by Al-Qaeda, but according to US officials, the Iranian regime’s agents were involved in it. 24 hours after the explosion, the US officials pinned the blame on Iranian regime and its agents. They said they knew who did it. The US officials said during an attack on Saturday night against the Shiite militia network, US forces had arrested 4 people affiliated with the Iranian regime.

The US official said they had obtained intelligence which clearly showed the explosion was done by the agents affiliated with the Iranian regime in Iraq and it was not whatsoever the work of Sunni groups affiliated with Al-Qaeda as was previously thought. They said the attack had been carried out by their enemies i.e. the Shiite militia groups affiliated with Iran who had done it in a way that the US Army thought it had been done by Al-Qaeda.
