Int’l community concerned over Assad using unconventional weapons

Al Arabiya TV reported citing the Syrian opposition saying for the first time the Assad regime has used magnetic bombs on various residential areas. Syrian regime warplanes dropped these bombs on the al-Qalamoun district, an area which Assad and Hezbollah forces are involved in intense fighting.
In other news, Syrian National Coalition President Ahmed Jarba said the Syrian regime did not show any “serious participation” in the Geneva negotiations.
“We cannot talk of serious participation by Assad’s representative in these talks,” Jarba said after the first round of talks behind closed doors ended without any results.
Furthermore, the director of the Organization on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons expressed concerns on the Syrian regime’s delays in handing over its Syrian weapons and stockpiles. According to an agreement signed with the UN, Syrian officials must send all their chemical weapons to Italy with Danish and Norwegian ships in order to have them then destroyed by an American ship in international waters.
