Al Jazeera TV reported political analysts and experts are saying the recent UN Security Council resolution for sending humanitarian aid to the Syrian people without the agreement of the Assad regime is an important step forward. The importance of this subject is that Russia and China had always blocked any measure by the UN Security Council on Syria.
Many believe the UN Security Council resolution will change the balance in favor of Syrian citizens that are under siege. All members of the UNSC have voted in favor of this resolution that allows UN aid to enter Syria for more than 10 million Syrians that are in dire need of help. Aid agencies are now able to cross Syrian borders and provide their support for the Syrian people without the Assad regime’s approval.
