Hong Kong and most Chinese banks suspend their deals with Iran

Hong Kong Banks and some Chinese Banks have suspended their activities with the Iranian regime in the framework of the UN Security Council sanctions against the Iranian regime.

Mehdi Pourqazi, member of Iran’s trade Bureau said: China and Hong Kong have joined Iran’s banking embargo; apart from two Chinese banks, other banks of that country won’t accept Iran’s documentary credits.

He added: Since most of Hong Kong’s bank investors are western, these banks prefer to function in the framework of sanctions and have no activities with Iran.
