Head of Sheikhs Council Called For Reconciliation Government

The Saudi daily Al-Madina on Jan. 3, reported the Iraqi Tribal Sheikhs Central Council’s head, Sheikh Aziz Nazhan al-Sadid in his visit to Cairo handed over the plan proposed by the Council for solving Iraq’s crises to the Secretary General of Arab League, Amr Moussa and the Egypt Foreign Minister.

The head of Iraqi Tribal Sheikhs Central Council said the interference in Iraq’s internal affairs comes only from the Iranian regime. The Iranian regime has more than one million agents in Iraq, some of whom have entered the security organs of Iraq.

Sheikh Aziz al-Sadid called for speedup in holding the National Reconciliation Conference, based on the decision of Arab League and supervised by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria. He declared this call and conference the last chance for Iraq to keep its sovereignty and unity and to avoid Iraq’s division.

The head of Iraqi Tribal Sheikhs Central Council said: the proposed plan by the Central Council consists of five parts: geographic and political integrity of Iraq and opposing to dividing Iraq on the bases of religion, return of members of former Army and security organs to their jobs, abolition of Paul Bremer command for retirement of members of army and police force, formation of the reconciliation government under supervision of the Arab League and the UN and revising for the new constitution law.
